RECENTLY <The 18th of May of 2008>

 

DEATH NOTE!

 

So I've loved this manga for quite a few years now, and recently got back into it super much again. I'm making all my friends read it. I'm going to get the 13th manga and Another Note, the special extra fancy novel story. I'm such a nerd, but OMG, I am ridiculously happy with my obsession right now.

 

So, rather than write anything useful, I'm going to post random Death Note pictures. Because that's totally what is required. True story.

 

 

Mello, yay! Because he's so amazing and adorable and such.

 

Yay, the dude who plays Light in the movies. Not quite hot enough to be Light, but seriously, who is? And he's much better than the L.

 

Light being super kawaii in the manga. Sparkly eyes and everything. Yay for young, more innocent, sparkly-eyed Raito! Light, I mean. (I have a bad habit of calling him by his Japanese name still...)

 

A funny Death Note moment. I love L. And Light. They're so funny. (If you can't understand it, keep in mind, Japanese mangas read backwards. From right to left. It's confusing, yes. But try it anyway.)

 

And this page is amazing not for the words (because who really cares what they're saying.) No, it's amazing for L's faces. The many faces of L. Of amazingness! And his randomly eating the muffin thing, wrapper and all, and then wondering why the wrapper tastes bad and spitting it out. Yeah. Oh, L, how amazing you are!

 

I have a lot more pictures I would post, except they're quite dirty, and I doubt most of you would like to see them.

 

So instead, I'm just going to go do something useful. :D

Attend the tale of Sweeney Todd.

His skin was pale and his eye was odd.

He shaved the faces of gentlemen

who never thereafter were heard of again.

He trod a path that few have trod

the demon barber of fleet street.

 

Sweeney Todd. Oh how marvelous this movie was.

 

There are quite a few reasons for this. And I shall explain- and I shall try my hardest to be spoiler free.

 

Reason #1:

This guy. He's adorable! Skinny, gorgeous eyes, amazing hair. He's a fantastic singer. And the character he played was a sweetie.

 

Reason #2:

Mrs. Lovett owns as a character. I love Helena as her, but really, it's just a fantastic character, in the movie and play both. Lovely.

 

I mean, Worst Pies in London? A Little Priest? Totally ownful songs.

 

And Helena's a cutie.

 

Reason #3:

 

Sweeney Todd is a pretty ownful character too. A bit angsty, yes, but overall, very awesome. He's a crazy killer dude, except he's actually pretty funny at times.

 

And Johnny Depp IS SO FREAKING HOT. Known fact.

 

 

Reason #4:

It's a Tim Burton movie. It's going to be awesome. Duh.

 

Reason #5:

The music. I really, really like the songs.

 

Reason #6:

It's funny. Hilarious, at times. It's really, really great.

 

Reason #7:

The girl who plays Johanna is so pretty! (Although she actually looked kind of weird in the movie.) And I like her voice.

 

Reason #8:

The ending. I can't tell you why...spoilers and all...but it OWNED. Seriously. And some people got owned. :P

 

Reason #9:

Yeah, as you can see, I'm not saying he's the only reason I liked the movie but...

 

WOW

 

Seriously. The boy is far too attractive for his own good.

Look, even bloody Anthony is hot.

 

Um...maybe hotter than regular Anthony.

 

But seriously. I love him so MUCH!

 

And Sweeney Todd is one seriously amazing movie. I loved it.
